Join us for a weekend of proper adventure in one of England’s most beautiful and historic landscapes.

The Suffolk Adventure Weekend is a hosted escape combining a challenging long-distance hike through Constable Country followed by a relaxed evening meal, and a comfortable 4 Star Hotel Stay to recharge properly. ( evening meal and hotel stay optional)

Set around Dedham Vale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty made famous by John Constable, this weekend is about earning your rest. Big walks by day, good food and great people by night.

🥾 The Challenge Hike – Constable Country

The heart of this weekend is our guided challenge hike through Dedham Vale, following rolling countryside, river paths, open fields, and classic English landscapes along the River Stour and surrounding Suffolk–Essex border trails.

Expect:

 • Long but achievable distance

 • Varied terrain (fields, footpaths, riverside trails)

 • Open countryside and classic village scenery

 • A steady, supportive group pace

 • Plenty of moments to stop, refuel, and take it all in

This is a true endurance-style hike, designed to challenge you physically while being incredibly rewarding and accessible with the right mindset and preparation.

Saturday – Constable Country Challenge Day & Dinner

08.15 – Meet at the hotel

08:30 – Start the Constable Country Challenge Hike

• Guided group hike through Dedham Vale

 • Regular rest and regroup points

 • Support throughout from Essex Adventures leaders

12:30 – Lunch

18:30 – Finish hike & return to accommodation

19:30 – Evening meal & social - open to all hike attendees but not included in hike only ticket price.

Sunday – Wind Down & Head Home

10:00 – Optional recovery walk / mobility session
