Join us for an all-inclusive festive night with the Essex Adventures community as we swap hiking gear for glad rags and head to Friern Manor for our first Christmas Ball.

Expect a gorgeous venue, great food, inclusive drinks, music, dancing and the chance to celebrate the year properly with the people you’ve walked, talked and adventured with.

Whether you’ve come to one hike or loads, this is a chance to get dressed up, let your hair down and enjoy a brilliant Christmas night out together.

Who’s it for?

This event is open to anyone in the Essex Adventures community who fancies a festive night out in a more dressed-up setting.

Coming on your own? Absolutely. As always, plenty of people will know each other through hikes, but this is still a warm, welcoming community event and you won’t be the only one arriving solo.

What’s included?

Your ticket is £69.50 per person and includes:

• Entry to the Essex Adventures Christmas Ball

• Pre- dinner drinks reception

• 3 Course festive meal

• Inclusive bar ( unlimited table wines, beers and minerals)

• 2 premium spirits bars ( from 10pm)

• Cloakroom

• Live music, DJ and dancing

• Late-night bites

Friern Manor also offers a range of menu options including traditional, vegetarian, vegan, halal and selected free-from choices. Guests receive a link after booking to register, choose their menu and notify the venue of any access needs. Please note that while Friern Manor offers several dietary menus, they cannot amend menus for individual guests beyond the set options available, and severe allergy sufferers are advised to review the venue information carefully.

• Booking and Payment: Please RSVP via this event page to reserve your place. Spaces are limited.

  To secure your place, a non-refundable deposit of £20 is required by 20th June. The remaining balance of £49.50 must then be paid by 10th October.

  Your place will only be confirmed once the deposit has been received, and full payment must be completed by the final balance deadline. A payment link will be issued separately.

• Cancellations: Unfortunately the deposit is non refundable. Any cancellations post 10th October are also non-refundable but, in the event you do need to cancel we will, wherever possible seek to fill your place and obtain a full refund for you. However this cannot be guaranteed.

Private event / booking responsibility

This is a private Essex Adventures event being organised in partnership with Friern Manor. Essex Adventures is facilitating the group booking only and is not the venue, supplier or event operator. All venue services, catering and bar services are provided by Friern Manor and remain subject to their terms and conditions.

Cancellations / changes / venue issues

Essex Adventures accepts no liability for any cancellation, postponement, change to the event, or any loss, cost or expense arising from circumstances outside of our control, including venue cancellation, supplier issues or force majeure. In the event of any change or cancellation by Friern Manor, we will communicate any updates to guests as soon as possible, but Essex Adventures cannot guarantee refunds beyond any monies recoverable from the venue.

Guest conduct / alcohol

This event is intended to be a fun, relaxed night for everyone attending. Guests are expected to drink responsibly, behave respectfully towards other guests, venue staff and property, and not engage in disruptive, aggressive or unsafe behaviour. Essex Adventures reserves the right to remove anyone from the event, or refuse attendance, if their behaviour is considered inappropriate or puts others at risk. Any guest removed from the event in these circumstances will not be entitled to a refund.

Personal responsibility

By attending, guests accept full responsibility for their own behaviour, personal belongings, alcohol consumption, travel arrangements and any damage they cause. Essex Adventures is not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, accident, theft, illness or other issue arising during or in connection with the event, except where required by law.
