A relaxed 5km social walk through central London, taking in the iconic sights around the Tower of London and along the River Thames, finishing with optional (but highly encouraged⌠or bravely endured) karaoke đ¤
Think: great views, good company, and a slightly questionable singing performance to round off the night.
Who is it for?
This is a Social level hike (5km) - relaxed pace, no pressure, all about the atmosphere.
Perfect if:
Youâre new to hiking or just want something easy and social
You enjoy a good walk and a good laugh
Youâre up for meeting new people in a slightly different setting
Youâre equally happy singing⌠or watching everyone else go for it
Whether youâre stepping up to the mic or just there for the entertainment, itâs all about having a good time.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely, most people do.
The walk is relaxed and sociable, so youâll have plenty of time to chat and get to know people along the way. By the time we reach the karaoke, youâll already feel part of the group, whether youâre grabbing the mic or cheering everyone else on đ¤

" Did my first social hike with Essex Adventures in Epping and honestly had such a great time! The group was really friendly and easy to chat to and our guide Jack provided a really scenic 10K route, whilst keeping it fun, even cracking the odd joke here and there. It was a good mix of walking and chatting without feeling rushed. Already looking forward to the next one! đ" Mia- Aug25
"I had such an amazing time on this hike and canât recommend Jack and Essex Adventures enough! This was my second time joining and it was just as great as the first. Jack plans fantastic routes The group was brilliant too such great people and we had so many laughs along the way, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Itâs a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere. If youâre looking for a fun, well-organised hike with great company, Jack and Essex Adventures are definitely the ones to go with!" Freza - Mar26
"Jackâs hikes are absolutely brilliant. Well organised with great clear communication before hand. Although nervous about my first hike. I was made to feel so welcome by Jack and the group and have now become a regular. Jack always has a kit list so you know what to bring, an honest detail of how long the hike will take and what level itâs at so you can judge for yourself how challenging it will be. One of my favourite things is that no one gets left behind as Jack always checks on the whole group throughout the hike to make sure everyone is happy and enjoying themselves and doesnât rush folks but lets them go at a speed that works for them" - Belinda - Aug25
Good people, good energy, and a night youâll probably still be talking about next week.
